Kinect Studio File Menu

Kinect Studio can be used to preview sensor data, record and play eXtended Event File (XEF) files, control the timeline position, select 2D or 3D view, and perform other Kinect Studio operations.

After Kinect Studio is launched, the following menu is displayed.

The File menu provides the following commands.

  • Open
    Opens an eXtended Event File (XEF).
  • Close
    Closes the current eXtended Event File (XEF).
  • View
    Opens the Custom View Layout Creator.
  • Settings
    Displays the global, recording file path, buffering and advanced settings.
  • Connect to Service
    Connects the Kinect Studio tool to the Kinect Studio Service.
  • Disconnect from Service
    Disconnects the Kinect Studio tool from the Kinect Studio Service.
  • About
    Shows version and copyright information for Kinect Studio.
  • Exit
    Closes Kinect Studio.
