The Internet Information Services (IIS) Web Management Service (WMSvc) enables remote and delegated management of a Web server and its Web sites and applications.

Clients can connect remotely to the Web Management Service on a Web server in order to administer that server. If connectivity issues occur, the client may not be able to administer the Web server. |

The Internet Information Services (IIS) Web Management Service (WMSvc) is necessary for remote and delegated management of Web servers. If this service is not available on a Web server, you will not be able to administer that server remotely. |
