The Metabase Schema

The metabase schema defines what properties can exist in the metabase configuration file. The metabase schema also enforces which properties can be set at which keys. The metabase schema provides this enforcement only for schema-defined properties, which are properties written to the metabase configuration file that adhere to the rules of metabase schema. Properties that are not schema-defined can be written in the metabase configuration file as custom properties. Custom properties can be used in the metabase configuration file to override schema enforcement or to configure a property with values other than the default values that are defined by the schema.
