IIS 6.0 Performance Counters
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 with SP1
The Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 operating system obtains performance data from components in your computer as those components are utilized. This data is described as a performance object and is typically named for the component that is generating the data. For example, the Web Service performance object is a collection of performance data about Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0. Each performance object provides performance counters that represent data on specific aspects of a system or service. When you install IIS 6.0, all of the IIS performance counters, with the exception of the SNMP counters, appear in System Monitor and in Performance Logs and Alerts. You can also use Windows Instrumentation Management (WMI) to view and use these counters and the SNMP counters.
