Using the Get-Host Cmdlet
Listing Windows PowerShell Version Information
The Get-Host cmdlet returns information (such as the version number) for Windows PowerShell. For example:
Name : ConsoleHost

To retrieve this information simply type Get-Host without any additional parameters:
