Cancel a Job or Task
Applies To: Windows HPC Server 2008
In HPC Cluster Manager, you can cancel one or more active jobs or tasks at any time. Cancellation stops the job and frees its resources. A canceled job can be requeued. It can also be saved to a job description file and resubmitted from the description file. For more information, see Save a Job or Task to a File. To cancel a job or task, you must have administrative rights or be the submitting user (job owner).
Tasks that are canceled while they are running are marked as Failed. Tasks that are canceled before they start are marked as Canceled. For more information, see Understanding Job and Task States.
For information about using HPC Cluster Manager, see Overview of HPC Cluster Manager.
