View pictures and create slideshows in Remote Web Access

When you are away from home, you can view pictures that are located on the Windows Home Server 2011 server or create and play a slideshow from anywhere by using Remote Web Access.
To view a picture on Remote Web Access
Log on to Remote Web Access.
In the Media Library, click Browse Pictures.

If you do not have remote media permissions, the media gadgets are not displayed on the website home page. See the person who manages the server for permission to access remote media.
To select how you want to browse the pictures, click Arrange by, and then click the browse option. You can browse by:
Folder – Pictures are arranged by the folders that they are in and a thumbnail of the first picture in the folder is displayed. When you click the thumbnail picture, the details of the folder are displayed. Details of the folder include where the folder is located on the server, the number of pictures in the folder, and the size of the folder. When you double-click the thumbnail of the folder picture, thumbnails of all the pictures in the folder are displayed.
Date created – All pictures in all folders are arranged by the date that they were created and a thumbnail of the first picture is displayed. When you click the thumbnail of the picture, the details pain of the list of pictures is displayed. The details include the number of pictures that were created on the same day and the total size of all the pictures in KB. When you double-click the thumbnail of the picture, thumbnails of all the pictures that were created on that day are displayed.
Click a picture to view the details of the picture. Picture details include the where the pictures are located on the server, date created, tags that were added, and the dimensions of the picture.
Double-click a picture to view the full-sized picture.
When you finish viewing the picture, click Go back to return to the thumbnail mode.
When you play a slideshow, all of the pictures in the current folder are included in the slideshow. Initially, they play in the order that they appear in the folder. You can choose to shuffle the order of the pictures when you are in slideshow mode.
To create and play a slideshow on Remote Web Access
Log on to Remote Web Access.
To create a slideshow from some of the pictures in a folder or from pictures in various folders, you must create a shared folder in the Pictures shared folder on Remote Web Access, and then add pictures to the newly created shared folder. To play a slideshow, in the Media Library, click Browse Pictures.
Click Arrange by, and then click Folder.
Click the folder that you want to play as a slideshow, and then click View slideshow in the folder details.
You can select how fast that you want pictures to change when playing a slideshow.
To change the speed that a slideshow plays
In slideshow mode, click the down arrow in the slideshow toolbar.
Click the speed that you want the pictures in the slideshow to change.
Slow – 8 seconds per picture
Medium – 5 seconds per picture
Fast – 2 seconds per picture
