To qualify for the "Designed for Microsoft Windows" logo, products must pass testing with the Driver Test Manager (DTM). DTM supports the following logo testing scenarios:

  • To obtain a logo for a device

  • To obtain a Driver Quality Signature for a driver

  • To obtain a logo for a computer system

Note   You must use the latest version of the WDK to compile your driver in order for it to pass testing and obtain a logo.

To obtain a logo for a device, the device must pass tests that verify the reliability and the performance of the device.

To obtain a Driver Quality Signature for a driver, the driver must meet all the criteria and design requirements that are defined by Microsoft for drivers running on the Windows family of operating systems.

To obtain a logo for a computer system, all devices and drivers in the system must have their respective device logos or driver quality signatures, and the system must pass an additional series of tests.
