After you cancel a job from DTM, it will continue to appear in the Job Monitor window, in the Job Execution Status (Filtered) pane; however, the status icon will indicate that the job has been canceled (). The job's results will appear in the Result Explorer and Result Collection windows.

If the Job Monitor window is already open, skip to Step 4.

  1. Switch to the Job Monitor window.

You can also open a new Job Monitor window by clicking Explorers, and then clicking Job Monitor.

  2. Select your DTM controller from the drop-down list box in the upper-left corner of the Job Monitor window.

  3. In the Machine Pool tab of the Job Monitor window, expand the machine pool hierarchy, and then select the machine pool that contains the client computer on which the job is running.

Note   If the Job Execution Status (Filtered) pane does not immediately show the job or jobs running on the selected computer, press the F5 function key to refresh the pane.

  4. Determine the status of the job. In other words, make sure that the job has not completed. If the job's status icon consists of two blue arrows (), the job is still running.

  5. If the job is still running, then, in the Machines pane, set the status of the client computer to Unsafe or Manual.

If the job has already completed and you want to delete it, follow the steps to delete a job.

  6. Right-click the job in the Job Execution Status (Filtered) pane, and select Cancel.

Note  If you want to cancel more than one job you must first select all the relevant jobs.

  7. If the job status icon in the Job Execution Status (Filtered) pane does not show that the job is now canceled, click the machine pool name, and press F5 to refresh the pane.
