ATM_BROADBAND_BEARER_CAPABILITY_IE structure

The ATM_BROADBAND_BEARER_CAPABILITY_IE structure specifies the broadband bearer capability element of an ATM UNI signaling message. The broadband bearer capability element indicates a requested broadband connection-oriented bearer service to be provided by the network.

    Specifies the bearer class as one of the following values:

    • BCOB_A
      Bearer class A

    • BCOB_C
      Bearer class C

    • BCOB_X
      Bearer class X

  • TrafficType
    Specifies the traffic type as one of the following values:

    • TT_NOIND
      No indication of traffic type

    • TT_CBR
      Constant bit rate

    • TT_VBR
      Variable bit rate

  • TimingRequirements
    Specifies the timing requirement as one of the following values:

    • TR_NOIND
      No indication of timing requirements

    • TR_END_TO_END
      End-to-end timing required

    • TR_NO_END_TO_END
      End-to-end timing not required

  • ClippingSusceptability
    Specifies the clipping susceptibility as one of the following values:

    • CLIP_NOT
      Not susceptible to clipping

    • CLIP_SUS
      Susceptible to clipping

  • UserPlaneConnectionConfig
    Specifies the user plane connection configuration as one of the following values:

    • UP_P2P
      Point-to-point connection

    • UP_P2MP
      Point-to-multipoint connection

Remarks

ATM_BROADBAND_BEARER_CAPABILITY_IE is an information element that specifies broadband bearer capability parameters. ATM_BROADBAND_BEARER_CAPABILITY_IE can be included in a set of Q.2931 call manager-specific parameters.

ATM_BROADBAND_BEARER_CAPABILITY_IE is passed at IE in a Q2931_IE structure, which is passed at InfoElements in a Q2931_CALLMGR_PARAMETERS structure.
