WDDM ManagedPrimary

This automated test verifies that display drivers correctly implement managed primary functionality.

In particular, this test:

  1. Creates primary surfaces.

  2. Calls the user-mode SetDisplayMode DDI.

  3. Renders some frames into the surfaces and switches between them.

  4. Changes the display mode (which causes the managed primaries to become unpinned from video memory).

  5. Calls the SetDisplayMode DDI again to cause the managed primaries to become pinned into video memory again.

Drivers must not fail calls to the SetDisplayMode DDI during this test.

This topic applies to the following test jobs:

  • WDDM ManagedPrimary

  • WDDM ManagedPrimary (WoW64)
