Uninstalling the Tools or Component Database

You can remove an installation of the development tools or the component database.

To remove the development tools or component database

Navigate to Control Panel, open Add or Remove Programs, and then choose Change or Remove Programs.
From the Currently installed programs list, select Windows XPe SP2 FP2007 Tools Update, and then choose Remove.

Select Windows XP Embedded Database SP1, and then choose Remove.
When prompted to confirm the removal of Windows XP Embedded tools from your computer, choose Yes.
When removing the component database, the following message appears:

If you continue with the uninstall of this product, then all of your component data stored in MSDE/SQL Server will be lost. Do you want to continue with the uninstall?

If you choose Yes, you need to reimport .sld files if you choose to reinstall the component database later. If you choose No or Cancel, the uninstallation is canceled.

Note Uninstall the SP1 and FP 2007 repository folders by manually removing the following folders and all repository files in them:
