The following table shows the functions that establish and free the resource manager context, which is used by the database query and database management functions.

Function Description

SCardEstablishContext

Establishes a context for accessing the smart card database.

SCardIsValidContext

Determines whether a smart card context handle is valid.

SCardReleaseContext

Closes an established context.
