SimReadMessage (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

The SimReadMessage function reads an Short Message Service (SMS) message from a particular storage location. This function is part of the SIM Manager API set that enables access to information stored on the SIM card.

Syntax

HRESULT SimReadMessage (
  HSIM hSim,
  DWORD dwStorage,
  DWORD dwIndex,
  LPSIMMESSAGE lpSimMessage
);

Parameters

  • hSim
    Points to a valid HSIM handle.

  • dwStorage
    A SIM_SMSSTORAGE constant.

    Value Description

    SIM_SMSSTORAGE_BROADCAST

    Broadcast message storage location.

    SIM_SMSSTORAGE_SIM

    SIM storage location.
  • dwIndex
    Index number of the entry to retrieve.
  • lpSimMessage
    Pointer to an Short Message Service (SMS) message structure.

Return Value

HRESULTs are either S_OK for success, or one of the SIM_E error constants defined in the SIM Manager Error Constants table.

Remarks

This is a privileged function.
