In Windows Embedded CE 6.0, you can add third-party Catalog items to the Catalog on your development workstation.

Adding a Catalog Item to the Catalog

1. After you have received a compressed file that contains third-party Catalog items, extract the files to a destination directory under your WINCEROOT, typically C:\WINCE600.

   You must save the Catalog file in a destination folder named Catalog. You can save it in an existing Catalog folder in an existing directory for a feature (for example, %_WINCEROOT%\PUBLIC\SERVERS\CATALOG), or in a new Catalog folder in a new directory under %_WINCEROOT% (for example, %_WINCEROOT\VENDOR\FEATURE\CATALOG).

2. To verify that the items have been installed correctly, open Platform Builder and then, from the View menu, open the Catalog Items View, and then navigate to the Catalog item.
