Instructions for Running the Locate Declarations Application

 

[This sample code uses features that were only implemented in MSXML 6.0.]

Note

The following sample assumes that you are using a computer with Windows Scripting Host (WSH) installed, such as a computer running Windows 2000 Professional or Windows 98.

To run the application

  1. Open Notepad.

  2. Copy the XML document, po2.xml. Paste it into the Notepad window.

  3. From the File menu, click Save As. Save the file as po2.xml to a folder on your computer.

  4. From the File menu, click New.

  5. Copy the XML Schema document, po2.xsd. Paste it into the Notepad window.

  6. From the File menu, click Save As. Save the file as po2.xsd to the same folder in which you saved po2.xml.

  7. From the File menu, click New.

  8. Copy the Uncommented Code for the Locate Declarations Application. Paste it into the Notepad window.

  9. From the File menu, click Save As. Save the file as po2.vbs to the same folder in which you saved po2.xml and po2.xsd.

  10. Run po2.vbs from either the Command Prompt or Windows Explorer.

    The results will be displayed in a message box window.
