);
HRESULT get_IntegratedWindowsAuthentication(
VARIANT_BOOL *pfIntegratedWindowsAuthentication
);
' Data type: Boolean
Property IntegratedWindowsAuthentication( _
ByVal fIntegratedWindowsAuthentication As VARIANT_BOOL, _
ByVal pfIntegratedWindowsAuthentication As VARIANT_BOOL _
) As Boolean
Property value
Boolean value that indicates whether Integrated authentication is used.
Error codes
These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.
Remarks
This property is read/write. Its default value is True (VARIANT_TRUE in C++).
Integrated authentication is a secure form of authentication, because the user name and password are hashed before being sent across the network. Integrated authentication can use either the Kerberos V5 authentication protocol, the NTLM authentication protocol, or a challenge/response authentication protocol.
Note In a pass-through authentication scenario, Forefront TMG does not support Kerberos V5 authentication, because Kerberos V5 requires that the client be able to identify the authenticating server.
Integrated authentication can be enabled for a Web listener together with Basic authentication, Digest authentication, and SSL certificate authentication.
