IFPCServer::StopFirewallService method

The StopFirewallService method stops the Microsoft Firewall service on the server.

Syntax

HRESULT StopFirewallService(
  [in, optional]  VARIANT_BOOL fWaitUntilComplete
);
FPCServer.StopFirewallService( _
  [ ByVal fWaitUntilComplete As Boolean ] _
)

Parameters

  • fWaitUntilComplete [in, optional]

    C++ Boolean value that specifies whether the method waits for the operation to complete before returning S_OK or an error. The default value is VARIANT_TRUE.
    VB Boolean value that specifies whether the method waits for the operation to complete before returning or raising an error. The default value is True.

Return value

C++

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

VB

This method has no return values. If the call is unsuccessful, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.

Remarks

Whenever the Firewall service shuts down, the server enters lockdown mode. For more information about lockdown mode, see About the Microsoft Firewall Service.

Call the StartFirewallService method to start the Firewall service on the server.
