IFPCAccessProperties3::EnableUserOverride property
Applies to: desktop apps only
The EnableUserOverride property gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether user override is enabled for the rule. (This property is introduced in Forefront TMG 2010 SP 1.)
This property is read/write.
Syntax
HRESULT put_EnableUserOverride(
VARIANT_BOOL fEnableUserOverride
);
HRESULT get_EnableUserOverride(
VARIANT_BOOL *pfEnableUserOverride
);
' Data type: Boolean
Property EnableUserOverride( _
ByVal fEnableUserOverride As VARIANT_BOOL, _
ByVal pfEnableUserOverride As VARIANT_BOOL _
) As Boolean
Property value
Boolean value that indicates whether user override is enabled for the rule.
Error codes
These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.
Remarks
This property is read/write. Its default value is False (VARIANT_FALSE in C++).
User override can be enabled only for deny rules that do the following.
- Apply only to the HTTP protocol.
- Have only URL categories or URL category sets as destinations.
- Apply to all types of content.
When user override is enabled, you must create an access rule that allows access to the URL categories that are blocked by the deny rule. This access rule must be positioned after the deny rule. When a user clicks Override Access Restriction, the deny rule is disabled temporarily, and the request is allowed by the allow access rule.
