IFederationServer.LsRequestSecurityToken Method (String, String[], String, Byte[], String, RSTRResult)

 

Returns a security token when given a user's credentials. This method is used when the Logon Server is not co-located and has collected credentials using either a form or basic authentication.

Parameters

  • credentialTypeUri
    Type: System.String

    The type of credentials specified in credentials.

  • credentials
    Type: System.String[]

    The user credentials in the format appropriate for instantiating the CredentialFields NameValueCollection object in the ClientCredentialInfo object.

  • accountStoreUri
    Type: System.String

    Specifies the exact account store that the Federation Server should use to attempt to authenticate the client. If this parameter is null then the Federation Server will attempt to authenticate the client against account stores in the order specified by the FS trust policy.

  • cookie
    Type: System.Byte[]

    The cookie obtained from the client.

  • targetRealmName
    Type: System.String

    The name of the target realm for which the security token is being requested. This may be either a federation partner or a resource web server.
