Eligibility Property

The Eligibility property of the RSOP_ApplicationManagementPolicySetting class describes the reason why a client-side extension includes a particular software application in the RSoP data.

The following list shows reasons for inclusion.

Assignment

The application was assigned.

Applied

The application was applied to the user's profile.

Upgrades

The application had potential upgrades for other applied settings.

Conditional

The application is included in the RSoP data in logging mode if the application has already been applied to the target. (This reason can be used in planning mode only.)

Logging Mode

In logging mode, the application management client-side extension only logs data for applications that are relevant to the target. This is because these are the only applications the extension considers applying to the target. The extension does not log data for every deployed application; it logs data only for those applications that have relevance to the target. The Eligibility property describes why an application is relevant to the target.

Planning Mode

In planning mode, when end-user performance is typically not an issue, a client-side extension attempts to generate a full picture of the relationship between applications. The extension considers applying applications that it might otherwise ignore for the particular target. In these cases, the extension marks the application "Conditional"; meaning that, in logging mode, the extension would log data for the application only if the application were already applied to the computer. RSoP planning mode requires Windows Server.
