Live TV Scenario

In a live TV scenario, a license is chained, and a root license and leaf license are needed to watch TV content. A root license gives access to the TV services that a client has registered. The root license can also contain the region information to which the client belongs; the region information is used when clients in a specific region need to be blacked out for a specific TV service. A leaf license is usually embedded in the content of a TV service, and it contains the key information needed to decrypt the content.

This scenario demonstrates the following features:

  • Output Protection Levels (OPL)
  • Non-persistent license
  • Reactive license acquisition
