DataParameter.IsValidType Method

Retrieves a Boolean value indicating whether the specified data-source-specific type is a valid type.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
Returns true if the specified data-source-specific type is a valid type; otherwise returns false.

Remarks

This method is called by the base implementation of the OnTypeChanging method. It is used to determine whether a data type is valid for the current state of the parameter.

The base implementation of this method returns true.
