Implementing a core Forefront UAG DirectAccess deployment for SP1

The topics in this section describe how to implement a core Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) DirectAccess deployment.
Before you begin, ensure that your server complies with the prerequisites described in Forefront UAG DirectAccess prerequisites for SP1. Then install and configure Forefront UAG DirectAccess as described in the following topics:
Installing Forefront UAG DirectAccess SP1─Describes how to install Forefront UAG DirectAccess.
Step 1: Configuring DirectAccess clients and GPOs for SP1—Describes how to configure clients with Forefront UAG DirectAccess client configuration settings, and how to configure Group Policy.
Step 2: Configuring the Forefront UAG DirectAccess server for SP1—Describes how to configure the connectivity and security policies for the Forefront UAG DirectAccess server.
Step 3: Configuring infrastructure servers in Forefront UAG SP1—Describes the infrastructure servers that are required by Forefront UAG DirectAccess clients.
Applying or exporting the Forefront UAG DirectAccess configuration in SP1—Describes how to apply the Forefront UAG DirectAccess configuration settings that you configured using the Forefront UAG DirectAccess Configuration Wizard, or export them to a script.
Note
The first time you configure a step in the Forefront UAG DirectAccess server Configuration Wizard:
- In the relevant box for each step you should click Configure. Once you complete a configuration of a step, the next time you want to edit the configuration, in the relevant box for each step, click Edit.
- A wizard page must be completed before you can proceed to the next wizard page. Once you complete a step, if you wish to reconfigure part of a step, you can select the relevant wizard page from the menu on the left hand side of the wizard page.
