The AllowBlank property is ignored if the value of the Type property is not a string.

The value for the AllowBlank property has a corresponding AllowBlankSpecified property in the SSRS Web service proxy class. Because AllowBlank is read-only and cannot be set by end users, you do not need to specify this property. For more information about specifying properties, see Omitting Values for Optional Web Service Objects.
