Remarks
Updated text:5 December 2005
Updated sample code:5 December 2005
Each event class has a parent Application object. You typically provide the parent application object when you create the EventClass using the EventClass constructor.
If you set the parent in the constructor, do not set the parent using this property. Setting the parent twice will throw an exception.
Example
The following examples show how to set the Parent property when using the default constructor:
// Create an event class and set required properties.
EventClass flightEvents = new EventClass();
flightEvents.Name = "FlightEvents";
flightEvents.Parent = myApplication;
flightEvents.FileGroup = "PRIMARY";
' Create an event class and set required properties.
Dim flightEvents As EventClass = New EventClass()
flightEvents.Name = "FlightEvents"
flightEvents.Parent = myApplication
flightEvents.FileGroup = "PRIMARY"
Thread Safety
Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
