Installation Options (SQL Server Express)
Use the Installation Options page of the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard to view maintenance and upgrade options for existing SQL Server Express instances and components. This page appears when components selected for the current installation are already part of an existing installation with the same instance name.
Options
Maintenance and upgrade options are described in the following sections.
Maintenance
SQL Server Express instance maintenance and feature maintenance is provided through Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. Select the instance of SQL Server to which you want to add or remove features. For more information, see How to: Change Components in an Existing Instance of SQL Server 2005 (Setup).
Upgrade
Supported upgrade paths are as follows:
