Toolbar (Attribute Relationship Designer Tab, Dimension Designer) (Analysis Services - Multidimensional Data)

Use the toolbar on the Attribute Relationship tab of the Dimension Designer to do the following procedures:

  • Add business intelligence features.

  • Process the dimension.

  • Create a new attribute relationship.

  • Modify the way the attribute relationship diagram is displayed.

To view the toolbar on the Attribute Relationship tab

  • In SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), in Solution Explorer, double-click a dimension to open the Dimension Designer, and then click the Attribute Relationship tab.

Options

Add Business Intelligence
Opens the Business Intelligence Wizard and add business intelligence features. For more information, see Use the Business Intelligence Wizard to Enhance Dimensions.

Process
Processes the object.

New Attribute Relationship
Opens the Create Attribute Relationship dialog box in which you can define a new attribute relationship.

Zoom
Cycles the zoom percentage, or displays a list of available zoom options.

Expand All Shapes
Display the grouped attributes that are associated with the top-level attributes. Grouped attributes are only visible when the shapes in the attribute relationship diagram are expanded.

Note

If you click this option, the Dimension Designer will return the shapes in the attribute relationship diagram back to the default layout that the designer uses.

Collapse All Shapes
Hides the grouped attributes that are associated with the top-level attributes.

If you click this option, the Dimension Designer will return the shapes in the attribute relationship diagram back to the default layout that the designer uses.

Arrange Shapes
Arranges the shapes according to the layout algorithm that Dimension Designer uses.

Auto Arrange Shapes
Automatically arranges the shapes in the diagram according to the layout algorithm that Dimension Designer uses. By default, Auto Arrange Shapes is enabled.

Show List Views
Displays or hides the Attributes and Attribute Relationships lists. These lists appear in their own panes immediately under the pane that contains the attribute relationship diagram.
