Topic Last Modified: 2011-03-12
When a project is no longer needed, you can delete it from Microsoft Project Server 2010. Note that this process deletes the project completely from Project Server and it cannot be retrieved.
Use the following procedure to delete a project from Project Server.
Important
The project is permanently deleted from Project Server.
To delete a project
On the PWA home page, click Server Settings.
On the Server Settings page, in the Database Administration section, click Delete Enterprise Objects.
On the Delete Enterprise Objects page, select the Projects option.
Select one of the following options:
Delete projects from Draft and Published databases to display a list of projects found in both the Draft and Published databases.
Delete projects only from the Published database to display a list of projects in the Published database.
Delete projects only from the Archived database to display a list of projects in the Archive database.
To delete the associated SharePoint site, select the Delete the associated Microsoft SharePoint Foundation sites check box.
Note
If you do not delete the associated SharePoint site and you save and publish a new project with the same name as the deleted project, the SharePoint site publishing process will fail.
Select the project that you want to delete.
Click Delete.
