Changing SSL and administrative access settings for Groove Server Relay

This procedure describes how to change Secure Socket Layer (SSL) settings and help secure the Groove Server Relay administrative Web pages by using the Groove Relay Control Panel item.
This procedure requires that Groove Server Relay is installed as described in Install and configure Groove Server 2010 Relay.
To change SSL and administrative access settings for Groove Server Relay
Open the Control Panel from the Start menu and then double-click the Groove Relay Control Panel item. The Server page appears.
Click the Admin Interface tab, set field values as described in the table that follows this procedure, and then click OK.
Important
If you make any changes to the Groove Relay Control Panel settings while the Relay server is running, you must restart the Groove Relay service for the changes to take effect.
SSL settings Description Relay Server Administrative Interface URL
This is an informational field that shows the current URL to be used for secure administrative access to the Groove Server Relay administrative Web interface.
SSL Security
Accept the default SSL certificate entry or change it. This URL is first set during Groove Server Relay installation, as described in Configure Groove Server 2010 Relay.
Default: Name of your installed Relay server
Generate Certificate
Click the Generate Certificate button as needed to generate the self-signed SSL certificates for the Groove Server Relay administrative interface.
Note
Regenerate certificates from this Admin Interface page any time you change the Relay server administrative settings.
Administrative User/Group
Click the Select User/Group button to change the default to specify a trusted domain-based user or group who will have access to the administrative Web pages. This is recommended over the default setting which grants administrative access to the local Administrator group.
