If the value is set to 0 for a Web site, a remote client can mark directories as scriptable. If the value is set to 1 for a site, a remote client cannot mark a directory as scriptable. This setting in the site's metadata is set on the server by editing the _vti_pvt/service.cnf file for the Web site.

Used in conjunction with the NoMarkScriptable setting. If the NoMarkScriptable setting is set to 1 for a server, database features are turned off for Web sites on the server.
