Testing a Signed XML Expansion Pack [Office 2003 SDK Documentation]

If you sign an XML expansion pack manifest file with a certificate that isn't in the trusted sources list and then attach the XML expansion pack to a document, the host application prompts you to disable or enable the XML expansion pack, as shown in the following image.

In order to test the XML expansion pack with your test certificate, you must select the Always trust macros from this publisher check box, which adds the test digital signature to your list of trusted publishers, and then click Enable Macros. If you do not, your smart document will not load properly and the code will not function as expected.
