Version Restrictions

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Installing Office Communications Server 2007 R2 administrative tools on the same computer as Office Communications Server 2007 administrative tools or Live Communications Server 2005 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) administrative tools is not supported. Additionally, you cannot administer servers and users from previous versions of Office Communications Server or Microsoft Live Communications Server with the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 administrative tools, nor can you administer Office Communications Server 2007 R2 servers and users with previous versions of the Office Communications Server or Live Communications Server administrative tools.

You can use the Move Users Wizard in Office Communications Server 2007 R2 to move users from Office Communications Server 2007.
