Associate Monitoring Server with Front End Servers and Mediation Servers
Topic Last Modified: 2009-03-06
To collect data from Front End Servers, Standard Edition servers, or Mediation Servers, you must first associate these servers with a Monitoring Server.
If you create an Enterprise pool after you have installed a Monitoring Server, you can associate the new pool with the Monitoring Server when you create the pool.
Otherwise, to associate a new Monitoring Server with existing Front End Servers and Standard Edition servers, use this procedure. To associate Monitoring Server with a Mediation Server, associate the Mediation Server with a pool that you are monitoring.
To associate a Monitoring Server with an Enterprise pool or Standard Edition server
Using an account that is a member of RTCUniversalServerAdmins, open Office Communications Server 2007 R2 snap-in: Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Office Communications Server 2007 R2.
In the console tree, expand the forest node, and then do one of the following:
- For an Enterprise pool, expand Enterprise pools, right-click the pool, point to Properties, and then click Front End Properties.
- For a Standard Edition server, expand Standard Edition servers, right-click the server, point to Properties, and then click Front End Properties.
Click the Monitoring tab.
Select the Enable call detail recording (CDR) and Enable QoE monitoring check boxes.
Click Associate.
In the Monitoring Back-End Server list, click the Monitoring Server you want to associate, and then click OK.
Click OK.
