InkOverlay.MouseMove Event

InkOverlay.MouseMove Event

Occurs when the mouse pointer is moved over the InkOverlay.

Definition

Visual Basic .NET Public Event MouseMove As InkCollectorMouseMoveEventHandler
C# public event InkCollectorMouseMoveEventHandler MouseMove;
Managed C++ public: __event InkCollectorMouseMoveEventHandler MouseMove;

Remarks

The event handler receives an argument of type CancelMouseEventArgs that contains data about this event.

When you create an InkCollectorMouseMoveEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For performance reasons, the default event interest is off but is turned on automatically if you add an event handler.

To improve real-time ink performance, hide or show the mouse cursor in the MouseDown and MouseUp event handlers.

Note: The CancelMouseEventArgs properties X and Y are in pixels, and not the HIMETRIC units that are associated with the ink space. This is because this event replaces the related mouse event of a pen-unaware application and this type of application understands only pixels.

Warning: Some controls rely on a specific relationship between MouseDown, MouseMove, and MouseUp events. Canceling some of these events may have unanticipated results.
