Description of check boxes and option buttons.

Check boxes are square controls that are used for independent or nonexclusive choices. They appear throughout the user interface (UI) and allow users to select criteria for particular properties. The checked and unchecked states of a check box should be obvious opposites.

Options buttons are round controls that are used for a set of mutually exclusive choices. They appear throughout the user interface and allow users to select criteria for particular elements. The selected and cleared states of an option button should be obvious opposites.
