Branch No. Field, Location Table
Here you can enter the location's branch number.
As of January 2005 each Belgian company has received a unique branch number from the Belgian Crossroad Bank of Enterprises for each branch that is located at another address than the parent company. The branch number uniquely identifies the company branch and is introduced to facilitate and simplify the administration with the Belgian authorities.
The branch number consists of 10 digits (format 9.999.999.999) and must meet the MOD97 check in order to be valid. The check formula is the same as the one used to check the validity of VAT registration numbers and/or enterprise numbers.
last 2 digits = 97 - (first 8 digits MOD 97).
The branch number does not need to be printed on outgoing documents and is available for informational purposes only.
