Tax Exemption No. Field, Gen. Journal Line Table

Here you can enter a tax exemption number. If a customer or vendor has been registered exempt for sales and use tax this number would have been assigned by the taxing authority.

You can enter a maximum of 30 characters, both numbers and letters.

Tax exempt differs from non-taxable in that transactions still require a tax area and tax group but you would need to turn off the tax liable flag.
