Create hierarchy structures

Hierarchy structures help you group and summarize dimensions.

  1. Click Cost accounting > Setup > Grouping > Hierarchies.

  2. Click New or press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  3. In the Hierarchy field, enter the number of the hierarchy.

  4. Select the check box for each dimension that you want to include in the hierarchy structure.

  5. Click the Divisions button.

  6. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  7. In the Division field, enter the division number that you want to track, and then close the form to save your changes.

  8. In the Hierarchies form, click the Hierarchy structure button.

  9. To add to the hierarchy structure, double-click the items on the Dimension and Division tabs.

Note

In a hierarchy structure, dimensions can be grouped by division. The groups are used to set up the Expense distribution sheet.
