The Item method retrieves the requested HTTP header from the collection.

Syntax

HRESULT Item(
  [in]   VARIANT v,
  [out]  BSTR* pItem
);

Parameters

  • v
    Required. Name or one-based index of the HTTP header to retrieve.

  • pItem
    Pointer to a BSTR that is set on return to a string value specifying the HTTP header requested.

Return Value

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

Parameters

  • v
    Required. Name or one-based index of the HTTP header to retrieve.

Return Value

This method returns a string value that specifies the HTTP header if successful. Otherwise, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.
