The New-MsolGroup cmdlet is used to add a new security group to the .

Syntax

New-MsolGroup [-Description <string>] [-DisplayName <string>] [-ManagedBy <string>] [-TenantId <Guid>] [<CommonParameters>]

Parameters

    -Description <string>
        The description of the group.
        
        Required?                    false
        Position?                    named
        Default value                
        Accept pipeline input?       true (ByPropertyName)
        Accept wildcard characters?  false
        
    -DisplayName <string>
        The display name of the group.
        
        Required?                    false
        Position?                    named

    -ManagedBy <string>
        The owner of the group.

    -TenantId <Guid>
        The unique ID of the tenant to perform the operation on. If this is 
        not provided then the value will default to the tenant of the current 
        user. This parameter is only applicable to partner users.

    <CommonParameters>
        This cmdlet supports the common parameters: Verbose, Debug,

Examples

The following command creates a new security group called "Marketing" that has a group description of "Marketing Executives".

New-MsolGroup -DisplayName "Marketing" -Description "Marketing Executives"
