This method sets version numbers for the type description.

Syntax

HRESULT SetVersion( 
  unsigned short wMajorVerNum, 
  unsigned short wMinorVerNum
);

Parameters

  • wMajorVerNum
    [in] Major version number for the type.
  • wMinorVerNum
    [in] Minor version number for the type.

Return Value

The following table shows the return values for this function.

Value Description

S_OK

Success.

E_ACCESSDENIED

Cannot write to the destination.

TYPE_E_INVALIDSTATE

The state of the type library is not valid for this operation.
