Business value
Historically, enforcing Microsoft Entra ID authentication to agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio was activated through virtual connectors in the data policy experience. This setting also allowed customers to turn on or off anonymous access to agents.
With the new, advanced framework for data policies, we'll provide a streamlined experience in the Security page. This experience allows you to configure Entra ID access and block anonymous access across one or more environments. In addition, a new rule—that can be configured at the environment group level—allows you manage at scale.
Feature details
Administrators can use the Security page and configure the Configure anonymous access in agents setting. This setting allows admins to enforce Microsoft Entra ID authentication to all agent interactions in the environment or they can choose to turn on anonymous access.
Administrators can also visit the environment group and see the new Configure anonymous access in agents rule setting available to configure. This rule allows admins to enforce Microsoft Entra ID authentication on all agent interactions in the environment group or they can choose to turn on anonymous access.
