Azure DevOps Git repositories allow projects to scale with rich version control, parallel development through branches, tools for code and security scans, granular auditing, disaster recovery, and test automation.
Unlike previous application lifecycle management (ALM) tools, pipelines in Power Platform and the Git integration are native. They're democratized for all makers and drive efficient collaboration and healthy ALM across the projects that matter most within your organization.
This feature includes the following capabilities:
- You can connect and synchronize your Power Platform solutions with source control in seconds.
- Makers can collaborate on the same project while working in isolated, development environments. There is no need for them to understand source control.
- Developers can work directly within source control.
- Azure repositories track the details of who changed what and when.
- Simple, in-product gestures allow you to commit your changes, pull other's changes into your environment, and resolve conflicts in real-time.
- Solutions are saved in a new YAML format for improved readability, better mergeability, and reduced clutter.
- This is a different capability than the canvas app, experimental GitHub integration. Native source code integration is for everything developed in Power Platform solutions.
