3.2.4.11.2.1 Application queries the Copychunk Resume Key of the Source File

The application provides a handle to the Open representing the source file.

To request a Copychunk Resume Key for an open file, the client constructs an NT_TRANSACT_IOCTL FSCTL_SRV_REQUEST_ RESUME_KEY request, as specified in section 2.2.7.2.1. The Fid of the source file (Open.FID) is placed in the FID field of the client request along with the FSCTL_SRV_REQUEST_RESUME_KEY function code. No NT_Trans_Data block is required. The request is sent to the server and the server's response is processed as specified in section 3.2.5.9.1.1.
