3.3.2.2.3 Idle Connection Cleanup Timer

When the Idle Connection Cleanup Enabled flag is set to true, the client MUST enable a global timer for checking whether connections are idle. This global timer is named the Idle Connection Cleanup Timer, and its period is set to an implementation-specific value between 1 and 40 seconds inclusive.

On expiration of this global timer, the Idle Connection Cleanup Timer Expiry event is fired.
