Unlock More Azure Credits

Overview

Every startup accepted into the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub receives an initial Azure credit offer tailored to their company’s stage, designed to support you based on where you are in your startup journey.

All startups are eligible for up to $150,000 in Azure credits. To unlock additional Azure credits, ensure you’ve completed the tasks in your verification checklist found on the Home page in Founders Hub.

Azure credit offer of $5,000 or less

For startups with $5,000 or less in Azure credits, when you’ve met all the criteria, you can submit a request for more credits by clicking the ‘unlock more credits’ button in Founders Hub. Once our team approves your request, you’ll be moved to the next stage of Founders Hub, and the additional Azure credits and benefits will be automatically applied to your account.

Azure credit offer of $25,000 or more

Startups with $25,000 or more in credits will have an Engagement score displayed on the Home tab of Founders Hub. This score tracks how actively you’re using Azure and reflects your growing partnership with us. When you build more with Azure, you have a higher likelihood of improving your Engagement score.

As your Azure credits near their expiration date, your tasks and engagement score will automatically be reviewed to see if you’re eligible for more credits without needing to submit a request. This review happens approximately 45 days before your benefits are due to expire. Prior to 45 days before your benefits expire, make sure your task list is complete and monitor your engagement score. If approved, the additional Azure credits and benefits will be automatically applied to your account.

Engagement score

The Engagement score tracks how actively you’re using Azure and reflects your growing partnership with us. When you build more with Azure, you have a higher likelihood of improving your Engagement score. Only startups with an Azure credit offer of $25,000 and above will have an Engagement Score displayed in Founders Hub. No score will be available for Azure credit offers of $5,000 or less.
