Desk pool analytics signals
Desk pool use can be understood and optimized by combining desk-reservation data with real-time occupancy signals. Real estate and facility managers can compare intended desk use, as shown through desk reservations, with actual occupancy data to reveal patterns of use. This process helps managers detect rates of staff no-shows. Managers can compare this data to understand how desk pools are being used in their facilities (both assigned times and during high-volume periods).
Intent-based desk use - Desk analytics uses reservation data to track how desks are planned to be used, providing insights into expected occupancy levels.
Actual desk use - By using building occupancy signals, such as badging systems, desk analytics measures actual desk occupancy, which offers better control over how desk pools are being used.
Important considerations when setting up desk pools
- Desk pool occupancy is based on employees using reservations for desks in buildings where they have reservations.
- Desk pool occupancy doesn’t accommodate desk pools without reservations.
- Desk pools with fewer than 10 desks aren't available for analysis due to privacy concerns. We recommend you set up desk pools with a more than 10 desks to get the most value from desk-pool analytics.
