Add a Wi-Fi Profile
Applies to
- iOS
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
- Windows 11 SE
A Wi-Fi profile describes how to connect to your school's network. When you assign the profile to a user or device group, the group can automatically access your school's network from their devices. Profiles eliminate the need for students and teachers to manually connect to the network.
This article describes how to configure Wi-Fi profiles for Windows 10, Windows 11 SE, and iOS devices.
Supported device platforms
Wi-Fi profiles are supported on devices running Windows 10 and Windows 11 SE, and on iOS devices bought through Apple DEP.
Configure your profile
Windows and iOS Wi-Fi configurations vary slightly. Because of the differences, you must create an individual Wi-Fi profile for your school's Windows devices, and an individual one for your school's iOS devices.
Create Windows Wi-Fi profile

- Go to Groups. Select the group that's receiving Wi-Fi.
- Go to Windows device settings.
- Expand the Network and connectivity category.
- Choose + Assign new (Windows) Wi-Fi profile.
- Enter the details of your school's wireless network. See Windows Wi-Fi settings in this section to learn more about each field.
- Choose Create and assign profile. The profile is added to your Wi-Fi profiles list.
- Select the profile to assign it to your group.
- Choose Save to save all Windows setting changes.
