Release schedule
Microsoft Sustainability Manager releases on a monthly cadence, with a staggered schedule for availability, automatic updates to sandbox environments, and automatic updates to production environments.
Releases are mandatory, and updates can't be postponed. These updates are essential for maintaining system integrity and security.
The exact duration and timing of each release can't be predetermined and can vary based on the update.
This table shows the general monthly cadence for releases. It shows when we plan to have the release available for you to update manually for testing purposes, and when we plan to automatically update sandbox and production environments. The What's new article for each month provides the expected availability and automatic update dates for that month. If you want to update an environment manually, you can update it with the Microsoft Cloud Solution Center, or you can refer to Manage Dynamics 365 apps in the Power Platform documentation.

Monthly release cadences can change, depending on the number of weekends in a month and other variables.
